We sponsor three major events:
ALMA Conference
This annual meeting held in the United States every year since our founding in 1980, the ALMA Conference program covers a wide range of laboratory management topics presented by leaders in their fields. Pre-conference workshops permit an indepth focus on a single theme. The Conference includes a social program and is an invaluable networking opportunity for both established and aspiring managers alike.

ALMA-Organized Invited Pittcon Symposia
The first ALMA-organized invited symposium at the annual Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy was presented in 1997 as part of the ALMA mission to provide a forum for improving laboratory management skills

Distinguished Service Award for Laboratory Management
Begun in 2002, this annual award sponsored by Agilent Technologies recognizes outstanding performance and service to the profession of laboratory management.
We are also involved in several other events for laboratory managers around the globe:
EuroALMA Conference
This biannual meeting began in 1998 and is modeled after the ALMA Conference in the United States. It is held in Europe and gives laboratory managers there an outstanding opportunity to share information techniques that benefit them and their organizations.

AfriALMA Workshop
With financial and moral support, ALMA’s mission and ideals have spread to Africa with the formation of the Eastern And Southern Africa Laboratory Managers Association (E-Salama).
