ALMA Membership

Individuals as well as entire organizations can get involved with ALMA through either membership or sponsorship, respectively.

Individual Membership

Qualifications for Individual Membership

Active membership in ALMA is open to any laboratory supervisor, manager, or professional staff without regard to academic degree, affiliation, or position.

Benefits of Individual Membership

Upon payment of dues of $80 annually, the member will receive the following ALMA publications: Managing the Modern Laboratory (ALMA’s peer-reviewed journal on Laboratory Management), the Bulletin, and ALMA’s E-News. Members are also entitled to vote on all matters before the Association at the Annual Conference, able to hold elective office in the Association, and receive a membership listing on an annual basis. The membership list is printed in an issue of the Bulletin

Individuals may apply for membership in two ways:

• Mail or fax an application form
• Online ALMA Store—Renewing Members Only. (New may not apply online.)

Sponsorship

Organizations can become affiliated with ALMA in several ways through many different types of sponsorship opportunities.

Corporate Sponsorship

Corporate Sponsorship is for any laboratory supplier, instrument manufacturer, or organization interested in supporting and participating in activities of ALMA. Corporate sponsorship includes a set of mailing labels, an ALMA Directory of Members, a link from the ALMA website to your company’s website, and recognition in the Bulletin and the conference program. The corporation also receives one advertisement in each issue of the Bulletin. ALMA is very proud of its sponsors.

Organizational Sponsorship

Organizational sponsorship includes an ALMA Directory of Members, a link from the ALMA website to your website, recognition in The Bulletin, and listing in the conference program, one advertisement in each issue of the Bulletin, and up to 10 individual ALMA memberships.

Conference Sponsorship

The ALMA annual conference provides contact with key laboratory decision makers in an informal and professional setting. There are several ways of supporting the conference as well as connecting with the conferees:

Tabletop

One six-foot table and one standard electrical outlet is provided at the Conference. The table is appropriate for a quick-fold type of display, small products, and literature. The Conference Tabletop does not include any individual conference registrations.

Special Conference Support

We depend upon the support of companies to sponsor various activities at the conference. Your company would be prominently acknowledged at the conference in appreciation of your support.
