Annual Subscriptions

Members of ALMA automatically receive a subscription to MML and this is one of the many reasons to join. The special subscription rate for ALMA members of $50 is included in the annual dues of $80.

Non-member subscriptions are available for individuals ($145) and institutions ($250); overseas subscriptions are charged an additional $50 for shipping and handling. Contact the publisher, ISC, directly to place your order or for more information.

Founding Editor

Dr. Claude Lucchesi

The founding Editor is Dr. Claude Lucchesi. Claude was a co-founder of ALMA and served as its first President. He leads a two-day workshop on “Managing the Chemical Analysis Support Laboratory” at the annual conference.

Dr. Lucchesi has had 14 years of management experience with Shell, Sherwin-Williams and Mobil Chemical. Since 1968 he has been the Director of the Analytical Services Laboratory (ASL) at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. In 1995, he became an Emeritus Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and the Consulting Director for the ASL.

Current Editor

The current Editor is Dr. Wayne Collins. Wayne served as President of ALMA in 2000 and continues to contribute to the organization as a member of the board of directors and publisher of the monthly ALMA E-News. He also leads a two-day workshop on “Building World Class Laboratory Practices” at the annual conference.

Dr. Wayne Collins

Dr. Wayne Collins joined Thermo Electron Corporation in 2005 after 25 years with Solvay Polymers in Houston Texas. For the last 18 years of his career with Solvay, he was manager of the laboratories in Deer Park, TX. He holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Houston and a MBA in Marketing from Wright State University. He is a past President of ALMA and has served as Editor of Managing the Modern Laboratory since 2002.
